REPS' 8-Week Hockey Training Program
Updated: Feb 28, 2019
Whether you’re just starting your hockey career, or looking to elevate your current skills, incorporating sports performance training can help. Dryland training has been proven to be both effective and safe for athletes as young as six.
How it works: By incorporating dryland training and sport-specific exercises into your child’s fitness routine, your child will improve their overall strength and conditioning. Dryland training will improve specific on-ice hockey skills such as puck handling, and it is focused on improving overall agility, speed, strength, and power. By improving these skills, hockey players are not only elevating their on-ice performance, but also decreasing their risk of injury.
For example, during games it’s important to have a great deal of stamina in order to be able to skate longer, faster, and harder than the opponent. Dryland training exercises such as ladders and hurdles not only improve stamina, but also give your quicker feet and allow you to change your direction more rapidly.
REPS’ Hockey Training program begins on March 18th and is guaranteed to improve your child’s strength, speed, agility, and coordination, giving your child a competitive edge over the competition.
